This unpaid experience offers companies the opportunity to collaborate with learners for 1-2 hours weekly over a three-month period, with a strong emphasis on guided collaboration and research-focused outcomes. Learners bring foundational skills in employee well-being, compensation strategies, and labor relations, applying these concepts to real-world projects.


Through this partnership, learners will rely on employer guidance to navigate organizational contexts and refine solutions tailored to workplace needs. The collaboration focuses on fostering supportive workplace cultures, optimizing performance systems, and ensuring compliance with HR legislation, ensuring mutual value and professional growth.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Learners will engage in applied research and practical projects addressing key aspects of strategic HR management, including employee well-being, compensation, performance, and labor relations. Through collaboration with the employer, they will enhance their critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills while working on real-world challenges.


Deliverables:

By the end of the project, learners will submit detailed deliverables tailored to their focus area. Examples include:

  • A comprehensive employee engagement strategy report
  • A design framework for performance optimization
  • A proposal for a compensation and benefits package
  • An analysis report on workplace health and safety compliance
  • A strategic plan aimed at improving labor relations


All deliverables will be submitted in written format (PDF or Word document), complemented by relevant data visualizations or supporting materials as applicable.


Presentation:

Learners will present their findings and recommendations in a formal end-of-project presentation to the employer, providing an opportunity for discussion, feedback, and refinement.
